Rospatent has terminated the trademark 33 Level. Spark plugs were sold in Russia under this brand. Now the products of the Chinese company are recognized as counterfeit and prohibited from distribution in Russia.
The thing is that the 33 Level emblem copied the brand of domestic "EZ" spark plugs, which is more than 60 years old. The domestic manufacturer — Meteor Auto (Engels Spark Plugs LLC) appealed to Rospatent with a request for verification, which was due to the fact that the quality of Chinese spark plugs is worse than that of Meteor Auto products, while externally they are very similar to the products of the domestic company.
According to the results of the inspection, Chinese products 33 Level were banned from sale, and responsibility up to criminal liability is threatened for its distribution.
As a reminder, Meteor Auto produces candles at the former facilities of Bosch. The German company suspended operations in Russia in the spring of 2022, and later sold its assets.
