Центр развития электротранспорта и беспилотных технологий заработал в Москве

The project plans to launch a virtual "Troika" card

The Electric Transport and Unmanned Technologies Development Center has started operating in Moscow. It will bring together all developers of innovations for the capital's transport.

The center occupies a building with an area of 8.8 thousand m² in the Kuntsevo district, where the first ticket system laboratory in Russia operates. In addition, the location houses offices of departments responsible for the development of digital services, technical support, system integration, and the development of unmanned and electric transport.

In terms of innovative solutions, transport in Moscow is an undisputed leader. The capital has developed and transports passengers in some of the world's best commuter trains, trams, electric buses, subways, and even river trams.
Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow

Sobyanin noted that the Center plans to launch a virtual "Troika" card, which will allow passengers to pay for travel with any smartphone and abandon plastic cards. In addition, experts are developing remote activation of Troika top-ups at MCC and metro turnstiles, as well as payment for travel on the MCD using biometrics.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the first unmanned tram was launched in Moscow. At the first stage, the operation of the system will be backed up by a driver, but from 2025 the technology will begin to operate autonomously.
