У побережья Калининградской области обезвредили более 200 боеприпасов времен ВОВ

С начала года инженеры Балтийского флота ликвидировали уже более полутора тысяч таких опасных находок

In the Kaliningrad region, specialists from the mine clearance groups of a separate marine engineering regiment of the Baltic Fleet destroyed more than 200 pieces of ammunition from the Great Patriotic War. They were located at the bottom of the Baltic Sea in a sunken barge off the coast of the Kaliningrad region and posed a potential threat.

The shells were taken out and destroyed at one of the training grounds of the Baltic Fleet by detonation with TNT blocks. The number of explosive finds from the Great Patriotic War in the Kaliningrad region traditionally increases in the spring and summer. Defusing explosive objects in the regions of the region, where the East Prussian offensive operation took place during the war, is carried out by mine clearance groups of the Baltic Fleet periodically.

Since the beginning of the year, sappers of the Baltic Fleet have already destroyed more than 1,500 similar dangerous finds. Mostly shells and other ammunition are found when digging pits and trenches or in the places of battles of the Great Patriotic War.
