A plant for the production of trucks with a carrying capacity of 2 to 15 tons will be built in the Novosibirsk region. The regional authorities will allocate a land plot for the production site by the end of the year.
The Trend company plans to invest in production. The costs for the "Novosibirsk Truck Plant" project are estimated at 19.9 billion rubles.
Construction will take place in two stages. First, workshops for the production of frames and cabs will be built, as well as a site for the final assembly of cars. Trucks from Russian and imported components will be assembled at these facilities. At the second stage, production sites will be created for the production of own components. The first model of a five-ton truck is planned to be launched from the assembly line in 2027.
The plant will employ 2,000 people. The company's revenue may reach 23 billion rubles per year by 2029.
