Sales in the Russian market of new cars have slowed down. In April of this year, 137 thousand cars were sold, which is 81.2% less than in April 2023 and 6.5% less than in March. According to industry experts, this is due to a decrease in the import of cars under an alternative scheme: in April, only 15% of such cars were imported.
LADA remains the leader in sales. AvtoVAZ sold 42,270 cars, which is 67% more than in April of last year. In second place is Haval with 14,586 cars sold, in third place is Chery (12,867 cars).
Among the most popular cars are the entire LADA model range, Haval Jolion and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Geely Monjaro and Haval M6.
