Ростех передал войскам свежую партию 120-мм минометов 2Б11

2B11 mortars are used to engage a wide range of targets

Rostec has delivered new 120-mm 2B11 towed mortars to the Russian Ministry of Defense. They will soon enter service.

These are reliable and effective weapons for engaging a wide range of targets, from manpower and lightly armored vehicles to long-term shelters at enemy strongholds.
Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Armaments Complex of Rostec State Corporation

The advantages of the new 2B11 mortars include an improved circular firing plate and wheeled carriage. The models are also equipped with a quick-detachable firing mechanism (does not require disassembly of the barrel) and a lightweight double-loading safety device. All this makes it easy to deploy the weapon in a combat position.

In the modern modification, the mortars have gained the ability to fire almost all types of artillery mines. These include illuminating, smoke, high-explosive fragmentation, and incendiary projectiles. The rate of fire is up to 15 rounds per minute. Bringing it into combat position takes 1.5–2 minutes.

Bekhan Ozdoev reminded that the Rostec State Corporation has a wide range in the production of weapons. The nomenclature includes: wheeled self-propelled guns "Malva", self-propelled mortar "Drok", towed 2B11, as well as howitzer "Msta-S".

As previously reported by www1.ru, Rostec is modernizing the Drok self-propelled mortar after its use in combat operations.
