The Moscow court granted the cassation appeal of the “Moskvich” plant in the case of debt collection by the Hong Kong company “Silver Basis Investment Development Company Limited”. The proceedings were suspended. Now the foreign firm has no grounds to apply to the court to declare the “Moskvich” plant bankrupt.
The debt of $2.5 million to “Silver Basis Investment Development Company Limited” arose from Renault Russia in 2021 for the manufacture of molds for plastic body parts for Renault Logan. In 2022, the French company left Russia, and “Moskvich” became its successor. That is why “Silver Basis Investment Development Company Limited” sent claims to the “Moskvich” plant.
In November 2023, the plant's debt to the Hong Kong company was confirmed. Now, after the cassation appeal was granted, the claims against the plant were dropped.
