FSUE "NAMI" has completed the certification process for its Aurus Merlon electric motorcycle, having received a vehicle type approval document (OTTS). The relevant information appeared on the Rosstandart website on Friday.
Vehicle type approval for the motorcycle with index L30 was registered in the Rosstandart database. Now Aurus Merlon, which has been under development since the summer of 2019, can be officially presented on the market. The certificate received by FSUE "NAMI" for Aurus Merlon confirms the legality and safety of the technical characteristics of the motorcycle, which was not previously used in Russia. With it, the motorcycle can finally go on mass sale.
It is known that these motorcycles will be used in the honorary escort at the inauguration ceremony of the President of Russia. Aurus Merlon weighs 350 kg and is capable of speeds exceeding 200 km/h, covering up to 200 km on a single charge. The Merlon electric motor has a power of 190 hp.
