KMZ обеспечит российских военных мощными бензогенераторами АБ2.1

The equipment is designed for backup power supply of radio complexes in the field

The military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) has signed a contract for the manufacture and supply of an autonomous AB2.1 gasoline generator with a capacity of 1.4 kW. The equipment is also intended for powering radio complexes in the field.

The AB2.1 gasoline generator is suitable as:

  • main
  • backup
  • emergency power source

The holding emphasized that the gasoline generator is characterized by small dimensions and high power. This distinguishes it from diesel units.

Due to the ease of ignition of gasoline at negative temperatures and autonomy of up to four hours, AB2.1 is suitable for operation in areas with harsh climates
Igor Smirnov, project manager

According to him, mass, dimensions and autonomy of the generator are important characteristics in the field. The production of AB2.1 is under the control of specialists from the Department of Military Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Russia (VP MO). After testing, the gasoline generators are sent to the customer.

The day before, KMZ presented the PK-500 patrol boat to foreign security forces
