Cheboksary Plant of Power Aggregates (ChZSA) LLC and KAMAZ PJSC have signed an agreement to develop and produce a unique tandem axle for special equipment. The project, scheduled for six months, includes the development of design documentation, manufacturing, and testing of a prototype axle.
The main feature of this axle is its uniqueness and the absence of analogues from Russian manufacturers. KAMAZ chose the Cheboksary plant to implement the project, considering the plant's experience and competence in creating complex products "from scratch". It is planned to start mass production of these axles for KAMAZ as early as 2025.
For both companies, strengthening the country's technological sovereignty is a priority, so they have joined forces to address import substitution issues.
As a reminder, ChZSA recently reported on the successful launch of production of new drive axles for SILANT diesel forklifts. These axles have a lifting capacity of 3.5 to 5.0 tons. ChZSA's development has no analogues in the Russian market yet.
