«Moskvich» is celebrating a kind of anniversary. A year ago, the main assembly line started operating at the plant. The press service took the opportunity of this important date to talk about the company's achievements and share plans for the future.
After 365 days, the length of the assembly line remains unchanged at 480 meters - this is approximately equal to the length of five football fields.
The production is fully robotic. 145 robots help workers deliver parts to assembly stations.
During the year, «Moskvich» expanded the geography of its presence - dealerships opened in many Russian cities, including Ivanovo and Bratsk.
Another achievement of the factory workers is considered the launch of the «Moskvich 6» car. The sedan was first shown to the public in April 2023, and in September of the same year, the start of production was given personally by the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin. At the same time, the Moscow Mayor noted that «Moskvich» survived in difficult times.
«Moskvich» plans to switch to small-unit assembly. The cars will be assembled from 900 parts, before that the assembly was carried out by large-unit method from 50 parts.
