Drills for military chemists from the radiation, chemical, and biological protection service of the Joint Command of Troops and Forces in the northeast of Russia (OKVS) have concluded in Kamchatka. Such drills are part of the combat training of the Pacific Fleet.
Over several days, in an area of more than 3 square kilometers, military chemists set up aerosol screens to conceal the terrain. They were intended to protect the main and false positions of electronic warfare stations from high-precision weapons. The purpose of the exercises was to use the entire arsenal of forces and means in the field, including special TDA-3 thermal smoke machines. These are грузовые автомобили (cargo vehicles) with a set of special equipment: it has three modules that cannot operate autonomously.
After the exercises, points were deployed using a special ARS-14KM station based on the KAMAZ-43114. These stations can be brought into combat readiness in just 6-8 minutes for degassing, decontamination, and disinfection of personnel, weapons and military equipment, individual sections of terrain and roads. If necessary, such a complex can work for the temporary storage and transportation of water and degassing solutions, equipping various containers and special treatment kits with them, or pumping liquid from one container to another, creating aerosol screens, and heating working solutions.
