New digital brake systems are being installed on Russian Il-114-300 short-haul aircraft, which will soon update regional airlines. The development by the Institute of Power Electronics of the Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI and PJSC AK Rubin consists entirely of microprocessors and other domestically produced equipment.
The developed unit meets new standards and all necessary requirements for airborne equipment. It can be adapted to additional tasks and modernized along with the aircraft.
This is the first such solution for domestic aviation, which is entirely based on Russian developments. It was tested on the second prototype aircraft in late March and performed excellently.
There were no digital brake control systems of this level on previous generations of Russian aircraft. We managed to create a domestic digital brake system, for the first time 100% implemented on a domestic component base.
According to him, the digital brake system created for the Il-114-300 is universal: it can be replicated on other aircraft models as well.
