Victory Day is still three weeks away, but preparations have already begun. Heavy military equipment has begun to be brought to the capital. The Moscow Ring Road, parts of Volgogradskoye Highway, Novoryazanskoye Highway, and Projected Passage No. 3502 were closed for the transfer of equipment. For now, all the tanks, armored vehicles, and missile systems are waiting for their festive debut in the park in Pechatniki.
Military equipment on the streets of the capital is not uncommon. In February, residents watched a column with nuclear "Yars" pass along the Moscow Ring Road. The equipment was transferred from the Ivanovo region to the site in Alabino along the Ring Road route.
In the temporary park, the military vehicles will be prepared for the parade – missing symbols will be applied and they will be painted.
The column includes more than one hundred units of military equipment, specialized vehicles for technical support and maintenance
The general rehearsal will take place in Moscow on May 5. On this day, the capital is expected to have large-scale road closures. Earlier, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that "more than nine thousand people and seventy-five units of weapons and military equipment, as well as aviation of the Aerospace Forces" will be involved in the parade on Red Square this year.
It should be reminded that the Moscow authorities decided to do without the traditional fireworks on May 9. But there is a possibility that the Ministry of Defense will arrange a fireworks display. It is worth noting that Victory Day will not be celebrated in the Ryazan, Kursk, Bryansk regions and in Crimea.
