Ввоз машин в Россию по «серым» каналам стал невыгодным: цены выросли на 30-40%

From April 1, cars imported through parallel imports will become more expensive

In Russia, since April 1, the cost of cars brought from abroad unofficially or through parallel imports has increased by up to 40%. This is due to the tightening of car imports from the EAEU countries.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade previously published average prices for cars imported into Russia from the EAEU countries. The FCS employees will use them to calculate taxes and fees.

Market participants complained that the prices for cars on this list are greatly inflated. They cited the Zeekr 001 You car as an example. According to calculations, the total amount of taxes, duties and excise taxes upon import into Russia should be about 2.3 million rubles.

Taking this into account, the estimated cost of the car upon sale is 7.35 million rubles. But the FCS decided that the total amount of fees for Zeekr 001 You is 3.21 million rubles. Consequently, the cost of the car increases for the end buyer.

The selling price will increase by 910 thousand rubles and will amount to about 8.26 million rubles

Experts gave another example. The Audi A8 sedan, equipped with a 340-horsepower engine, was estimated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at 9.2 million rubles. It is expected that after customs clearance and payment of all fees, its cost will increase to 13.6 million rubles.

This amount does not include the costs of the SBKTS certificate (Certificate of safety of the vehicle structure), the ERA-Glonass system. Thus, the final cost of the Audi A8 may be about 16 million rubles. Before April 1, such a car could be bought for 12 million rubles.
