For the rapid assembly of the Il-114-300 fuselage: a flow line has been launched at PJSC Il - Aviastar

Productivity will increase to 12 aircraft fuselage kits per year

A flow line for assembling fuselage panels for the Il-114-300 aircraft has been created at the branch of PJSC Il - Aviastar in Ulyanovsk. This was reported by the UAC press service.

The assembly line includes 10 workstations, each with assigned personnel. Each panel passes through this line, starting with preliminary frame assembly and ending with packaging. This approach to assembly helps reduce the time spent on planning and preparing production.

The UAC press service added that the flow line will be equipped with additional equipment. In particular, automatic riveting machines, as well as painting, sealing and drying chambers, will appear here. Thanks to this, the Ulyanovsk enterprise will reach the production of 12 aircraft sets of fuselage panels per year.

PJSC Il - Aviastar has also switched to the composite tooling created using additive technologies for aircraft parts.

Earlier it was reported about a shortage of personnel for the Russian aircraft industry. Only one of the enterprises of PJSC Il lacks 2.5 thousand employees with various competencies. Specialists are needed to increase the production of civil and military aircraft.
