High alert introduced in the Khabarovsk Territory due to the launch of "Angara-A5"

Fragments of the carrier rocket parts may fall in several regions of the area

The authorities of the Khabarovsk Territory have been put on high alert until the first heavy rocket "Angara-A5" launches from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. It is already located at the launch site, and the launch is scheduled to take place soon: between April 6 and 10.

Parts of the carrier rocket that separate during launch may fall in the Ulchsky and Vaninsky districts of the Khabarovsk Territory.

In this regard, representatives of the districts prepared all mobile services and reported on their readiness to warn of emergencies to the Minister of Natural Resources, Alexander Leontiev. Representatives of the Center for Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities (JSC "CENKI") also attended the meeting on the region's readiness for rocket launches from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The launch of space rockets is always accompanied by the fall of separating parts. The regions where their fall zones are located prepare for this in advance, coordinating the interaction of all mobile services, including fire services, civil defense, and public information. To ensure the safety, search and evacuation of fragments of the separating parts of the carrier rocket, during the launch of the carrier rocket from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the "High Alert" mode of operation of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies is introduced in their fall zone.
