The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will purchase 300 drones in 2024 for departmental needs, including monitoring floods, extinguishing fires, and searching for missing people, according to the head of the ministry, Alexander Kurenkov.
Currently, specialists have more than 400 drones in service. These are aircraft and helicopter types, as well as combined assembly.
In addition, the department will purchase 8 all-terrain vehicles to ensure the mobility of UAV control points. A number of all-terrain vehicles will be presented in an Arctic version.
It is known that thanks to drones, the process of creating orthophotoplans (a terrain plan with a bound coordinate system) has been reduced to 7 minutes. The data is integrated into information resources and used by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Earlier, the Central Design Bureau of Robotics stated that the "Khrust" reconnaissance FPV drone can be used for civilian purposes, including detecting sources of air pollution and environmental monitoring.
