Employees of the "Center for Speech Technologies" (CRT) are working on a technology for recognizing human silhouettes and sounds. It will be implemented in city cameras as part of the "Safe City" program.
Apparently, CRT will supplement its "Vizir" project (an IT solution based on computer vision), which allows tracking the movement of people from camera to camera, with new functions. Analysts believe that face and sound recognition can be used to predict passenger traffic.
"Vizir" is used in the "Safe City" system of Moscow, St. Petersburg and other major cities. It operates in stadiums, train stations, and subways.
CRT is the leader in the Russian market for the implementation of projects with biometrics (more than 400). Most of them are related to transport security. The company's capitalization by 2028 may reach 24 billion rubles.
Earlier, Moscow began testing traffic lights with cameras recognizing the faces of violators of traffic rules.
