Employees of Sechenov University, together with colleagues from the National Medical Research Center (NMRC) for Neurosurgery named after Burdenko, have developed AR (augmented reality) technology for performing neurosurgical manipulations.
We are talking about AR glasses and software, with the help of which doctors will be able to broadcast the image from the operating table to more experienced specialists. This option may be in demand in emergency cases, when doctors do not have enough skills and they need advice from colleagues in real time.
Our AR device will expand the range of telemedicine care
It is specified that the data is transmitted from the indicator on the windshield of the AR glasses to the neurosurgeon's monitor. Using a tablet, he sends voice and visual prompts to the glasses of the specialist who is performing the operation.
Earlier, employees of Volgograd State Technical University and the company "Devirta" presented a VR simulator for restoring the lungs after suffering from ARVI and coronavirus.
