Specialists from the Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant have manufactured the 1P97 - an optical sight for the Chukavin sniper rifle (SVC, manufactured by the Kalashnikov concern).
The 1P97 is an optical sight with a pancratic element (a small movable group of lenses, the movement of which causes a change in magnification - editor's note www1.ru). It is designed to detect and conduct aimed fire in daylight hours.
Technical characteristics of 1P97:
- N59 type reticle
- Multilayer anti-reflective coating of optical components
- Sight adjustment step - 1 cm/100m
- Quick-detachable installation mechanism
- Tilt indicator
- Magnification change wheel.
The interdepartmental commission approved the design documentation for the establishment of serial production of 1P97
The concern believes that the Novosibirsk development will improve the quality and accuracy of firing from the SVC in combat conditions.
