The UAC "daughter" and "Glory Air" tested their new drones, which can transport oil samples from remote fields to chemical laboratories instead of cars. The weight of the cargo of drones in the internal compartments from "BAS Glory Air" ranged from 2.6 to 12 kg.
The drones flew with cargo day and night, in rain, snow, fog, with temperature changes, wind with gusts up to 12 m/s and smoke from burning oil products.
They are very unpretentious: OG-25 and OG-003 aircraft-type UAVs with vertical take-off (VTOL) can land and take off from a site of only 10x10 meters.
This is relevant in remote areas, and saves resources on the maintenance and preparation of airfields.
BAS Glory Air has developed solutions for remote connection to two UAV control base stations, which made it possible to control the flight along the entire route, receive telemetry and video stream data, and also control the UAV flight remotely from the situation center in Moscow.
As noted in the UAC, both customers and developers "confirmed the effectiveness of using UAVs for cargo delivery at oil and gas fields, including the Arctic zone". Serially OG-25 and OG-003, and other models in "BAS Glory Air" will be localized in Russia from 2024.
