Next year, Russia plans to launch a unified digital platform that will collect information about citizens for their non-application-based social services, according to the head of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR), Sergei Chirkov.
Russian authorities actually want to change the paradigm of the social sphere and simplify bureaucratic procedures. The first stage services of the platform will be launched in 2024. As Chirkov explained, Russians will receive support measures from the state, even if they did not apply to the fund for assistance.
Currently, the SFR serves almost the entire population. Part of the work is taken over by the interdepartmental electronic interaction system. The Fund provides 44 services, on the basis of which 116 digital services have been created. For example, no applications are required to receive payments from veterans and disabled veterans.
In the near future, the transfer of benefits to digital form for citizens with occupational diseases is expected. In addition, it is planned to assign old-age insurance pensions, which will not require the citizen to submit an application.
Earlier it was reported that the authorities approved the procedure for using a digital passport through the Gosuslugi application. The digital version of the document, which certifies the identity of a citizen, can also be shown when buying cigarettes and alcoholic beverages.
