The Russian Ministry of Defense has shown how the Russian military handles the "Battle Broom" based on the "Ural" vehicle.
The "Battle Broom" is not a new type of weapon, but a quad anti-aircraft gun ZPU-4, which has been known for decades. The ZPU-4 was designed more than fifty years ago on the basis of a 14.5-mm large-caliber Vladimirov machine gun with a firing range of up to 2 km.
It can hit both enemy manpower and its strongholds, as well as lightly armored vehicles. For maneuverability and rapid movement, anti-aircraft guns are based on "Ural" vehicles.
In addition to the "Battle Broom", other anti-aircraft guns C-60, well-known from the Soviet period, are also installed on "Urals" by the Russian military. Both types of weapons use modern fragmentation ammunition capable of detonating in the air above the enemy.
