In Russia, a prototype of the Rossa racing car (Russian Sports Cars), focused on GT2/GT3 class competitions, was presented. The prototype was shown as part of the "New Product of the Year" award. Racing driver Roman Rusinov shared details about the car.
The developers claim that the car can accelerate to 380 km/h. At the same time, Rossa may be allowed to drive on public roads. The racing car is based on a monocoque (seamless, frameless structure) made of carbon with an integrated fuel tank. Thanks to the unique suspension, made according to the push-road scheme, the driver can change the ride height.
The cost of Rossa is in the price range from 500 to 800 thousand euros. The fact is that GTA3 class cars are constantly growing in price. And Rossa should be in the market.
Throughout my racing career, I have driven cars that were built in Europe. Now it has become more difficult to bring foreign cars to Russia. Why not ride your own equipment? It is logical to have your own product for racing.
AP Racing front 6-piston and rear 4-piston calipers are responsible for safe braking. The concept has a 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 700 hp. In tandem with a sequential gearbox, you can squeeze out a "hundred" in 3.2 seconds.
The aggressive design of the Rossa emphasizes its belonging to racing cars. The doors have a vertical lift, the landing is low. The interior is comfortable, ergonomic, instead of seats - rigid beds. The driver's position is fixed with seat belts. The ignition is turned on with a button, the car is controlled using a steering wheel (removable).
Next year, the developers plan to test Rossa on race tracks to participate in competitions. Information about when its road version will appear has not yet been disclosed.
