The fifth-generation Su-57 multirole fighter has begun testing with a second-stage engine (product 30). Rostec announced that the supply of aircraft with a new power plant to the Russian Aerospace Forces will be carried out under the current contract.
The Su-57 is increasing its combat capabilities, including a new engine and weapons. The fighter is constantly evolving, the state corporation emphasized. In the current assembly, the Su-57 is adapted for the first-stage AL-41F1 engine and product 30.
Regardless of the power plant, the aircraft meets the requirements for fifth-generation aircraft. It is known that under a contract with Rostec, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive 76 Su-57 fighters with first and second stage engines.
Western military analysts have repeatedly emphasized the advantages of the Su-57 over the American F-35 and Chinese J-20 fighters. One of the important capabilities of the Russian aircraft is "tracking" up to 60 targets with simultaneous attack of 16 of them.
The concept of a "single field" is supported by a modern on-board control system, which increases the safety of the aircraft. That is why the Su-57 is called the "falcon" of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
