Rostec revealed where the first import-substituted SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft will go

Russian localized passenger aircraft SJ-100 (the previous version - Sukhoi Superjet New, which had a Franco-Russian engine installed - editor's note www1.ru) and MC-21 should meet the needs of the domestic market. Only after that, the developers will consider the possibility of sending civilian aircraft for export, said Vladimir Artyakov, Deputy Head of Rostec.

MC-21

According to the representative of the state corporation, Russia is counting on interest in SJ-100 and MC-21 from foreign partners. Rostec understands that the capacity of the domestic market is not unlimited and in the future it will be necessary to enter foreign markets.

In addition, Artyakov noted that the Russian PD-14 engine has great prospects in terms of export. The unit meets international standards and is in the most massive niche, so high demand is possible for it, he concluded.
