Geoscan 801 Drone with 14x Zoom Enters Mass Production

Mass production of the Russian Geoscan 801 drone has begun

In 2023, the St. Petersburg-based technology company Geoskan began mass production of Geoskan 801 agro-drones. The first drones for agricultural needs will be delivered to customers in November. They can also be used to monitor the condition of road infrastructure and identify illegal construction sites.

The Geoscan 801 is equipped with a thermal imager and a camera with 14x zoom, which records video in 4K format. The image is transmitted to the operator at a distance of at least 10 km.

The drone is controlled via a separate communication channel using a convenient ergonomic remote control, which is significantly larger than a joystick.

The agro-drone also received a special receiver to eliminate interference, including to combat anti-drone guns. The all-weather capability of the Geoscan 801 flight is ensured by a cooling system for electronics in the heat and a battery heating system in cold weather.

Geoskan emphasizes that the Geoscan 801 drone is a completely Russian development. The intelligent components, battery, and carbon blades are all produced at the company's own facilities in St. Petersburg.

It was previously reported that the Geoscan Pioneer Mini drone has been taught to be controlled using an opto-rhythmograph device that reads the operator's thoughts.
