According to Interfax, citing materials for the draft state budget for 2024, the government plans to allocate 45.5 billion rubles next year for the development of drones in Russia. Interestingly, the lion's share – 36.4 billion rubles – will be spent on the development of infrastructure and training, as well as the creation of a certification system, rather than on the drones themselves.
Accordingly, much more modest amounts will be allocated for the creation of drones and their purchase. Thus, it is planned to allocate 1.664 billion rubles for the purchase of drones for government agencies from 2024 to 2026. Moreover, this amount includes certain services related to the purchase of drones.
Drone developers will be compensated for the costs of conducting scientific and research work (5.3 billion rubles annually from 2024 to 2026), as well as for certification (475 million rubles annually) and the creation of components (1.3 billion rubles annually).
