New agreements and contracts are being discussed at the Russia - Africa summit

African countries are interested in cooperation with Russia not only in the food program - many count on fruitful interaction in the military or technological plan. This was shown by the Russia - Africa summit.

For example, Nigeria is interested in purchasing Russian-made fighters, including the latest Checkmate. This was told by the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia Dmitry Shugaev.

The foreign customer highly appreciates the tactical and technical characteristics of domestic machines. Their attention is drawn to Checkmate.

Checkmate is the first and only Russian single-engine sixth-generation aircraft. It can accelerate to a speed of 2 Mach and carry 7400 kg of combat load.

And Uganda has agreed with Russia to build a nuclear power plant. This was stated by the President of the country Yoweri Kaguta Museveni after meeting with Vladimir Putin.

We have also agreed with Russian companies to build nuclear power plants for electricity generation. This project is already being implemented, and we are happy about it.

The President of Uganda added that his country would also like to cooperate with Russia in the field of production of electric batteries.
