STM Holding (Sinara Transport Machines) has unveiled the serial version of its new Sinara-6254 trolleybus. The special feature of the vehicle is that it can travel up to 80 km independently, without connecting to the contact network.
The new vehicles have a 15% increase in overall energy efficiency, the number of seats has been increased to 37, widened door openings (1400 mm), and the ceiling level has been raised slightly. There are also light and rain sensors, ADAS systems, and a kneeling system. The cabin features USB ports for charging gadgets, Wi-Fi, climate control, and an automatic fire extinguishing system.
Sinara-6254 was created by the Chelyabinsk Plant of Urban Electric Transport, and the first 168 new trolleybuses will start operating in Chelyabinsk.
