Rostec Delivered Four GTU-16P Gas Turbine Units to Russia's Most Powerful Gas Field

GTU-16P is based on an aircraft engine

United Engine Corporation (UEC), part of Rostec, has delivered four GTU-16P gas turbine units to the Zapolyarnoye oil and gas condensate field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area. Each of them is built on the basis of a PS-90A aircraft engine gas generator and has a capacity of 16 MW.

«Comprehensive deliveries of modern domestic industrial equipment make a significant contribution to solving an important state task – ensuring the stable operation of the gas transmission system. Today, specialists from our UEC holding have sent four units for the second stage of the booster compressor station of the Zapolyarnoye oil and gas condensate field "Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg". The units are reliable in operation and designed to operate in harsh climatic conditions. Taking into account the new shipment, the GTU-16P fleet at the Zapolyarnoye field will amount to 28 units», – commented Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation, on this event.

«United Engine Corporation not only produces highly efficient gas turbine units, but also provides high-quality service and equipment repair throughout its life cycle. As of June 1, 2023, a total of 404 GTU-16P gas turbine units have been delivered to customers, and their total operating time has reached 13 million hours», – noted Andrey Vorobyov, General Director of ODK Engineering LLC.
