In Severodvinsk, the nuclear submarine "Khabarovsk" of Project 09851 was moved from workshop No. 50 of JSC "Northern Machine-Building Enterprise" and launched into the floating dock "Sukhona" for subsequent launching. The ceremony took place on November 1.
The submarine is equipped with a VM-5 or OK-650V water-cooled reactor with a capacity of about 190 MW and SBGD 12-1700 electric generators with a capacity of 1700 kW.
A more modern analogue of the low-frequency passive sonar system based on the towed antenna "Vignette-EM-01" was installed on board the submarine. It is capable of detecting torpedoes at a distance of 30+ km, maneuvering submarines in shallow seas at 10–20 km, and in the deep sea up to 30–35+ km; Arleigh Burke-class destroyers are detected at a distance of 85–135+ km, depending on the hydrological situation.
The "Vignette-EM-01" system will allow the crew of the "Khabarovsk" to receive sonar information about the proximity of enemy anti-submarine lines and partially provide Poseidon carriers with data for operations.
Experts also note that the Poseidon carrier, the APL "Khabarovsk", received a water-jet propulsion system to reduce noise.
In addition, the submarine is integrated with a combat information and control system, including the IKS-R-783-0985 communication complex developed by PJSC "Inteltech". It is capable of operating in the shortwave range and receiving information from airborne command posts, such as the Il-86VCP (MAXDOME according to NATO codification), as well as from the "Doomsday" station UVB-76.
