"Kinzhal" missiles are capable of hitting, among other things, underground arsenals, aircraft carriers and well-protected command posts.

With an average approach speed of 4,500 km/h, the "Kinzhal" is capable of performing anti-aircraft maneuvers with overloads of up to 25g, and is also equipped with a radio-electronic warfare system.

Invulnerable to Patriot

The American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) is unable to shoot down the Russian hypersonic missile "Kinzhal", noted military expert Boris Rozhin.

According to him, the superiority of hypersonic was also evident during the war in the Middle East, where Western systems, even more advanced than Patriot, coped poorly with hypersonic weapons.

The ammunition is based on the 9M723 aeroballistic missile "Iskander-M", carrying different types of warheads. The ammunition can be launched at any initial speed and at any altitude of the carrier. As a result, domestic engineers have created an air missile system that has no analogues in the world.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Navy, the cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov", may be scrapped.
