The Irkutsk Aviation Plant has begun ground testing of systems on the third production MS-21-310 with serial number 0016. This was reported by the company's press service.
At the next stage, specialists from the IAZ flight test unit will begin testing the fuel system's functionality.
Viktor Gorbachev, head of the "Airport" association, urged not to be overly enthusiastic about the first flight of the production MS-21. According to him, it is still necessary to establish real operation with passengers on board.
Honored Pilot of the USSR Oleg Smirnov told "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that the production of MS-21-310 aircraft would be only the first part of a large task. The industry still needs to provide them with the necessary volume of spare parts and components.
