The vessel passed mooring and sea trials and departed for its permanent operational location

Another dry cargo ship of project RSD59 left the outfitting quay of the OSK Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard and departed for its permanent operational location. Before this, the vessel underwent a full cycle of mooring and sea trials, during which shipyard specialists, together with the crew, checked the operation of the main systems. This was reported by OSK.

RSD59 belongs to the 'river-sea' class of vessels. Thanks to its design, such a dry cargo ship can operate not only on inland waterways but also in sea areas, which allows one vessel to be used on different sections of cargo routes.

During the trials, the propulsion system, navigation equipment, automation, and life support systems were checked. According to OSK, all vessel characteristics comply with design requirements.

Krasnoye Sormovo continues the construction of the RSD59 series for the State Transport Leasing Company. In September, OSK reported the delivery of the first two vessels of the project to the customer and plans to deliver ten more dry cargo ships to GTLK by the end of 2026.
