Russian industrial cobot DOKA transformed into an artist and reinterpreted "The Creation of Adam"

Instead of a divine hand, a robotic one appeared in the modern version of the famous scene

The Russian manufacturer "ROBOPRO" demonstrated the DOKA cobot in a role unusual for industrial equipment. The robotic manipulator reproduced a scene from Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam," replacing God's outstretched hand with a self-portrait of its own mechanical hand.

For an industrial cobot, such work is primarily associated with precise motion control. The manipulator must consistently follow a given trajectory, maintaining the position of the tool relative to the surface. The same basic capabilities are used in production for welding, coating, parts processing, and other operations where the robot is required to repeatedly perform a given movement.

The company "ROBOPRO" produces a series of DOKA collaborative robots for industrial tasks. According to Rostec, the line includes six-axis machines with a payload capacity from 3 to 33 kg, and the robots are used, in particular, for welding, moving parts, and other operations requiring repeatability.

The unusual experiment shows another application of the technology: the industrial manipulator becomes an artist's tool and participates in the creation of a contemporary art piece.
