Almost 26% of Russians who read economic and technological news do not understand the meaning of the term "digital ruble". This was reported by the press service of the Dzen platform after conducting a relevant survey.
Another 24% do not know what an "escrow account" is, 22% do not know what a "key rate" is. In international news, 20% of respondents are unfamiliar with the term "sanctions package". Respondents would like to see a simple explanation of "neural networks" (23%), "large language models" (18%) and "personal data" (17%) in the media, the study says.
36% of respondents indicated that news about economics and finance is the most difficult to perceive. This is followed by political events (31%) and changes in legislative acts (29%). Readers also have questions about technology news (24%) and medical topics (18%).

Earlier, the State Duma stated that operations with the digital ruble by 2027 will be carried out by about 3% of citizens who have a bank account. Marketplaces and large airlines are actively implementing payment in the third form of the national currency.
