Active protection systems against drones, installed on serial armored vehicles and cars, have passed polygon tests. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The technical conference was held under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Defense, Army General Alexander Sanchik. According to the department, he was informed that drone countermeasures systems on serial automotive equipment and armored vehicles would be sent for combat testing.
As part of the practical section, active protection systems against drones on various chassis were presented.
Sanchik noted that feedback from manufacturers in the troops allows for prompt resolution of issues related to the modernization of samples supplied under the state defense order. He added that the best developments of repair and recovery units should be mass-produced.
Earlier, Russian tanks received protection against kamikaze drones, which proved highly effective on the combat line. BMP-3 crews practiced methods of countering drones at the Moscow Military District training ground. It also became known about the laser system "Posokh", which was planned to be tested in combat conditions in 2025.
