A driver can get their license back after the disqualification period expires on the day of application to the State Traffic Inspectorate department at the place where the court order was executed. This was reported to TASS by the press center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The return is possible if all conditions specified in the Code of Administrative Offenses are met.
If the driver wants to obtain a license in another department, they must submit an application to the place where the order was executed no later than 30 days before the end of the disqualification period. It must specify the name of the State Traffic Inspectorate department where the license should be sent. The application can be submitted on paper or electronically.
The procedure is approved by Government Decree of November 14, 2014. The agency reminded: the return is made on the day of application if all requirements are met. This simplifies the procedure for drivers who have served their punishment and are ready to get back behind the wheel.
