The new air terminal complex of Barnaul International Airport named after German Stepanovich Titov has officially been put into operation. The terminal area is 9.8 thousand sq. m, its capacity is up to 600 passengers per hour, and the estimated annual passenger traffic exceeds 1 million people. This was reported by Novaport Holding.
Construction began in September 2023 and was completed in June 2026 – in 28 months. Since August 19, the terminal has been operating in test mode. Inside, there are 13 check-in counters, including a counter for oversized baggage, two 36-meter baggage belts, and three jet bridges for boarding directly from the building. The first floor houses check-in and baggage claim, the second floor is for pre-flight security screening, and the third floor contains the waiting area and a mother and child room.
The cost of the complex is 7.5 billion rubles, and the total investment program amounts to 8 billion rubles. Funding came from Novaport's private funds with the involvement of VEB.RF and Sberbank loans totaling 5.7 billion rubles.
The forecourt has been renovated: short-term parking is designed for 176 spaces, and long-term parking for 193. The terminal facade is stylized to resemble orbital trajectories, and the central atrium evokes a spacecraft assembly. On the same day, a new terminal opened at Pskov Airport, also part of Novaport.
