Russian enterprises have released a new small arms complex for hunting, sport shooting, and potentially for special services, which, according to Rostec, is capable of providing high accuracy at long distances. Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Rostec's Arms Cluster, announced the development.
The complex combines a rifle and a line of powerful cartridges, and the entire system, according to Ozdoev, is of domestic origin. The Rostec representative has not yet disclosed the specific caliber, effective firing range, accuracy, and other technical parameters of the new rifle.
Ozdoev named the accuracy of the complex at long distances as the main indicator. He described the weapon's capabilities with the phrase about its ability to "hit a squirrel in the eye", and placed the development on par with the best foreign counterparts.
Initially, the rifle is designed for civilian use – hunting and sport shooting. Ozdoev did not rule out interest from the military and special services, but the message does not mention the adoption of the complex, specific customers, or relevant tests.
