Vadim Badekha, head of the United Aircraft Corporation, stated that the F-35 is currently not being considered in the Indian market, while the Russian Su-57 continues to demonstrate its capabilities in real combat conditions. According to him, the Russian fighter daily confirms its superiority over foreign weapon systems.
It can be said with confidence that today, F-35 aircraft are not being considered in the Indian market.
The head of the corporation linked the situation to the combat experience of the Su-57, calling it the only fifth-generation fighter that is actually participating in hostilities and regularly using its capabilities against foreign systems.
The Indian direction is becoming particularly important for the Russian fighter. The Su-57 has already been offered to New Delhi, and in recent days, the issue of a possible sale of aircraft and transfer of technology to India has again been among the discussed topics amid preparations for Vladimir Putin's visit to the country.
The day before, Rostec first publicly demonstrated in Egypt a new family of small-sized S-71 munitions for the Su-57 fighter. The S-71M "Monochrome" and S-71K "Kover" products combine features of attack drones and missile weapons. In parallel, the Su-57E demonstrated maneuvers at critical angles of attack at the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt. Sukhoi Design Bureau chief pilot Sergey Bogdan spoke about the fighter's capabilities and the specifics of the demonstration flight.
