Russia has launched the production of power electronics needed for electric vehicle charging stations and server infrastructure. The company "Element-Tekhnologii" has opened a full-cycle industrial complex in Moscow, where electronic components are mounted, assembled, programmed, and finished devices are tested.
The company calls the project the first in Russia of such a level, where the entire production chain is closed within the country. The new complex occupies more than 7 thousand square meters. The enterprise is equipped with automated surface mounting lines, through-hole mounting lines, wave soldering equipment, sealing, assembly, automated programming, and testing of power electronics.
Some of the equipment was developed for the technological operations of the enterprise itself. The production capacities are designed to produce up to 100 thousand server power supply units per year. Their power can reach 5 kW, and the devices themselves belong to the CRPS standard.
Another 25 thousand power modules and converters with a capacity of up to 40 kW can be produced annually by the enterprise for electric vehicle charging stations.
The products will be used in IT infrastructure, telecommunications, and industry, including automotive, according to the statement. They are also planned to be used in data centers, artificial intelligence systems, and charging infrastructure.
The company stated that it has already concluded agreements with the largest Russian manufacturers of server equipment. Deliveries of 40 kW power modules for charging stations are planned for 2026.
The products of the new enterprise will be supplied to Moscow, Moscow Oblast, Leningrad Oblast, Bashkortostan, and Tatarstan. The company expects that the production will help accelerate the development of a network of fast charging stations for public and personal electric transport. In addition, Russian power sources are planned to be provided to data centers throughout the country.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin noted that the new production will become part of the competence center in the field of power electronics being created in the capital. According to him, the enterprise will produce power modules for charging stations and full-cycle server power supply units – from mounting electronic component base to assembling and testing finished devices.
The enterprise's products have confirmation of Russian origin and are included in the Unified Register of Radioelectronic Industry of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, emphasized GC "Element".
