The Kazan Aircraft Plant is undergoing large-scale modernization specifically in the interests of the Tu-214 program. This was reported by the press service of JSC "Tupolev".
At the same time, the company emphasized that it can only be about changing its share of participation in certain programs planned by the UAC management.
The plant actively participates in inter-plant cooperation within the framework of the United Aircraft Corporation's production model. In accordance with the tasks defined by the state, the enterprise is capable of expanding its participation in various programs.
Stanislav Ryzhakov, former head of the Ulyanovsk branch of Tupolev, refuted the view that one type of aircraft can simply be removed from production and another put in its place at a separate plant.
They are pulling the wool over our eyes about digital design and construction of new aircraft. They drew them digitally somewhere, with ordinary drawings somewhere, and most importantly, there is no full interactive volume of machines that includes all production elements.
Before that, Ryzhakov expressed confidence that Tupolev would not agree to the production of MS-21 at its facilities under any circumstances.
Yury Tretyakov, a technical director in the aircraft industry, explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" what the main problem of the Tu-214 program is.
