AvtoVAZ compared the average cost of Lada cars with the prices of new cars of other brands on the Russian market. According to company president Maxim Sokolov, Lada cars cost about 1.5 million rubles on average, while the average price of a new car in Russia reaches 3.5 million rubles and more. The difference is about 2 million rubles, and the average cost of a Lada is approximately 2.3 times lower than the market average.
The final average price of Lada is significantly influenced by Granta – one of the brand's most affordable models. According to Sokolov, buyers typically purchase such cars for less than 1 million rubles.
Meanwhile, the upper part of the model range includes the more expensive Vesta and Aura. Their average selling price, as stated by the head of AvtoVAZ, exceeds 2 million rubles.
Sokolov also noted that in recent years, the company has raised prices for its cars significantly slower than the overall inflation in Russia.
One of AvtoVAZ's tasks for 2026–2027 was previously named as further price containment. At the same time, the company plans to develop its model range and improve the quality of components.
