The "Alfa Super-range" radar station is capable of detecting small drones at a distance of about 7 km, and larger aerial targets up to 30 km. This was announced by the developer company, the Alfa Experimental Design Bureau.
If an aerial object is large, the detection radius increases to 30 km. The developer does not publicly disclose the exact characteristics for different types of targets.
"Alfa Super-range" is designed for long-range air space control. The complex can be placed on stationary masts and building roofs, as well as installed on an automotive platform.
When placed in a stationary position, the radar can be used for continuous monitoring of a specific sector of airspace. Installation on an automotive platform, in turn, allows the complex to be moved between objects and deployed where additional air situation control is required.
Earlier, "Pervy Tekhnichesky" reported that Rostec launched the production of the mobile radar station "SOKOL-08" with machine learning algorithms. The radar can simultaneously detect up to 100 targets, identify small unmanned aerial vehicles, and automatically ignore false signals.
