New "Veter-PRO" interceptor drone presented at EEF

The development from Zabaykalye has already been tested in combat conditions

The new Russian "Veter-PRO" interceptor drone was presented at the Eastern Economic Forum, according to a correspondent from "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy". The drone's body is 3D-printed, and the development is almost entirely assembled from domestic components – the only exception being the camera.

The drone was created in Zabaykalye and is capable of speeds from 200 to 260 km/h, carrying up to 850 grams of payload. Control is possible both manually and automatically – the system targets itself. The operator can be up to 20–25 km away thanks to the optical communication channel.

The device can patrol in the air for a long time, quickly responding to threats. "Veter-PRO" easily integrates into existing air defense systems, and its production is maximally localized. According to the "Veter" design bureau, the drone has already undergone combat testing and demonstrated high efficiency.
