Almost 21 kg of food, personal belongings, and other cargo will be sent to the ISS, including quite earthly sweets among the space provisions. Oleg Ryumin, head of the laboratory for psychophysiological support of flights and extreme activities at the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, revealed the details.
All cargo for the crew was placed in five containers. Their total weight is 20 kg 890 g.
The space package includes Siberian pine nuts, "Zolotoy Klyuchik" (Golden Key) toffees, "Gusinyye Lapki" (Goose Paws) candies, "Rakovyye Sheyki" (Crayfish Necks) caramels, shaped "Zolotye Petushki" (Golden Roosters), and confectionery in the form of Russian matryoshka dolls. Chocolate bars will also be sent to the ISS.
Each crew member has the opportunity to order specific products and personal items. For example, Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov asked for nuts and chewing gum. He also requested to send a letter in an envelope back to Earth.
Currently, the "Progress MS-35" cargo spacecraft is at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, where it is being prepared for its upcoming launch to the International Space Station.
