"Kukuruznik" turned into a satellite: TVS-2MS received a new purpose

Onboard digital equipment scans more than 100 points per square meter

The TVS-2MS biplane received digital equipment that transforms the aircraft into a multifunctional platform for detailed ground monitoring. In the aerial photography configuration, the system generates a density of more than 100 points per square meter in a 200 m wide corridor, according to PMI Aero, the distributor.

In essence, the aircraft can be used as a low-altitude alternative to satellite monitoring where detailed imaging is required.

The TVS-2MS can also be equipped with the MMA-1 medical module, designed to transport a recumbent patient; a wide cargo door simplifies loading.

The medical version has a range of up to 1,000 km. A separate advantage is its operational intensity. The TVS-2MS climbs to an altitude of 4 km in approximately 16 minutes.

It should be noted that the private TVS-2MS project did not receive a place in state aviation development programs in Russia. Priority was given to other platforms, including LMS-901 "Baikal".
